While not the most glamorous of volunteer opportunities, trash cleanup makes up a large part of the contribution by our volunteers. Trash washes up on our shores regularly and hikers and campers, unfortunately, do not always “Leave no trace” but with your help, we can keep our shores clean. We have monthly shoreline cleanup activities at our public lake access areas in September-May. Check our calendar for upcoming scheduled cleanups and sign up for our mailing list to get notified when group clean-ups are occurring. Individuals and groups are invited to participate in the cleanup efforts as well! Contact our volunteer coordinator to add a volunteer cleanup onto any adventure you are having at Land Between the Lakes, you can clean up along almost any trail, campsite, roadway, or historical site and contribute to the beautification of this lovely National Recreation Area. Supplies are provided and the paperwork is simple! Don’t hesitate, lend a hand!
