Calling all Girl Scouts: Girl Scout Day and the Nature Station is Camp-tastic this year! Join us for family-friendly activities and programs specifically geared toward Daisy, Brownie, Junior, and Cadette badge and journey requirements for some of the Outdoor badges! Explore and learn more about how to have fun and be safe while enjoying the outdoors. There will be a variety of activities to do, so we recommend planning at least a 2-hour visit. Girls are encouraged to bring SWAPs to exchange with other scouts. Although the event is dedicated especially to Girl Scouts, all are welcome!
Call 270-924-2299 for more information. A detailed schedule of activities will be available online by March 1, 2023, including which badge and journey requirements will be fulfilled.
Hummingbirds sparkle like gemstones as they zip around the sky and, like gemstones, they come in many different colors! Join a Nature Station naturalist as we explore the rainbow of hummingbird feather colors. Webinar free, registration required.

If you love hummingbirds and backyard wildlife, this is the event for you! August brings hundreds and hundreds of hummingbirds through Land Between the Lakes as they migrate south to Central America. You can see as many as 200 of them in a single day at the Nature Station! Join us to celebrate this natural spectacle and watch the backyard beauties as they buzz around the native gardens, fueling up for the next leg of their long journey. Discover how you can create beneficial habitat for many species right in your own backyard! Stop by the native plant sale, or the Pollinator Photo Gallery. Enjoy backyard habitat programs and demonstrations all weekend, as well as games and crafts for the kids!
August is the best time to view Nature Station’s hummingbirds as they feed at our freshly filled feeders. Join us for a quick lesson on these little jewels, then step outside into the gardens and watch them in their feeding frenzy!
